MCC Holds First-Ever Senior High School Graduation

MCC Senior High Batch 2018

A total of 43 Grade 12 students received their high school diplomas last April 6 during Maranatha Christian College High School Department’s first-ever Senior High School Graduation Exercises.

Under A New System

These pioneer graduates are the first to complete six years of secondary education under the Department of Education’s K to 12 program which added two years of senior high school (Grades 11-12) to four years of junior high school (Grades 7-10).

All of them were enrolled in the General Academic Strand. Starting next school year, MCC will offer two other academic strands namely, Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) and Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS).

Col. Stephen Agtoto, valedictorian of MCC HS Class 1989 who is at present Command Registrar of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Doctrine Command, spoke to the graduating class headed by Kimberly Moso and Stephanie Gonzales, each of whom earned high honors.
