GOV’T SUBSIDY WORTH P76,000 FOR GRADES 7-12 OFFERED AT MCC!
Government subsidy totaling at least P76,000 over six school years is available to students who want/need help in paying the cost of studying from Grades 7 to 12 at the Maranatha Christian College junior and senior high school.
Yes, P76,000 or more is offered as government subsidy by the Department of Education through its Education Service Contracting (ESC) and Senior High School Voucher programs to elementary school graduates who study at MCC starting this SY 2022-23. (The amount could be more since DepED could increase it in coming school years as it has done in previous school years.)
Each school year, an incoming Grade 7 student who qualifies for a slot in the ESC program is given a grant of P11,000 to be used for tuition, miscellaneous and other school fees, allowing him/her to pay only a portion of the total school fees charged by MCC.
Already affordable even without government subsidy, its school fees which amount to not more than P20,197 per school year become even more affordable after the P11,000 ESC grant is automatically deducted upon enrolment.
This school year, the balance payable in eight months after the P1,000 down payment and P11,000 ESC grant are deducted amounts to approximately P1,000 per month.
Scholarships worth P9,000 to cover down payment and monthly installments are available for financially needy but academically deserving junior high school students. In senior high school, such students enjoy free tuition as well as scholarships that cover miscellaneous and other school fees. They also enrol without paying the usual P1,000 fee.
The ESC grant is renewable every school year throughout junior high school (Grades 7-10). It is also carried over into senior high school (Grades 11-12). Grade 10 completers who are ESC grantees automatically qualify for the government subsidy of P16,000 per school year (P8,000 per semester) from the DepEd’s Senior High School Voucher Program.
Since 1991, several thousands of students have benefited from MCC’s partnership with DepEd in the ESC Program and lately in the Voucher Program. Government subsidy has enabled many public elementary school graduates to study at a private high school like MCC.
After paying P1,000 to enrol, incoming Grade 7 students can start enjoying a government subsidy that over six school years will amount to P76,000 or more, enabling them to study at and graduate from Maranatha Christian College Junior and Senior High School.
Its affordable, quality Christian education has by God’s grace and for His glory already produced at least 33 high school alumni who graduated from their respective courses in college with Latin honors (one summa cum laude, seven magna cum laude, 24 cum laude) during a ten-year period, 2012-22.
