LOW SCHOOL FEES + GOVT SUBSIDY + SCHOLARSHIPS = MORE AFFORDABLE QUALITY EDUCATION AT MARANATHA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

A non-stock, not-for-profit private school, Maranatha Christian College Junior and Senior High School charges not more than P20,197 in school fees per school year, and offers a yearly government subsidy ranging from P11,000 to P20,000 and scholarships between P2,000 to P9,000. Only P1,000 is needed for enrolment.

Due to its partnership with the Department of Education plus the support of sponsors from its alumni and others, MCC has become more affordable and more accessible to more public elementary school graduates and public junior high school completers.

Upon payment of P1,000 for enrolment, a qualified Grade 7 enrolee for instance is given a yearly government subsidy or Education Service Contracting (ESC) grant of P11,000. The amount is automatically deducted from tuition, miscellaneous, and other school fees for the school year which, excluding textbooks and uniforms, total P20,197. The balance of P8,197 is payable in eight monthly installments.

Through the Blessed to be a Blessing (B2BAB) Project, Grade 7 students who are financially needy but academically deserving however receive a scholarship worth P9,000 to cover monthly payments towards the outstanding balance and later get a refund for their P1,000 enrolment fee.

The subsidy which starts from Grade 7 is renewable every school year until Grade 10. (ESC grantees from other private schools can still enjoy the said subsidy when they transfer to MCC after Grade 7.)

This SY 2022-23, tuition, miscellaneous, and other school fees for the junior and senior high school have not been increased.

For junior high school, total school fees remain unchanged for the fourth straight school year:
Grade 7: P20,197*
Grades 8-9: P19,899*
Grade 10: P20,053*
*excluding textbooks and uniforms which amount to more or less P7,000 this school year, payable in three months

For senior high school, total school fees remain unchanged for the fourth straight school year:
Grade 11: P22,000* (P11,000 per semester)
Grade 12: P22,000* (P11,000 per semester)
*including printed modules

A P10,000 per semester government subsidy from the Department of Education’s Senior High School Voucher Program is automatically deducted from the school fees of Grade 10 completers from public junior high schools who enrol.

Through the B2BAB Project, academically deserving students receive a scholarship worth P2,000 which is applied towards the enrolment, miscellaneous, and other school fees for two semesters. The scholarship allows them to enjoy the privilege of free tuition offered by the government subsidy without paying P1,000 for each semester’s enrolment.

The Department of Education’s Senior High School’s Voucher Program’s government subsidy of P8,000 is automatically deducted from the school fees of Grade 10 completers from private junior high schools who are ESC grantees after they enrol.

Through the B2BAB Project, academically deserving students receive a P4,000 scholarship which allows them to enjoy the privilege of free tuition offered by the government subsidy after paying P2,000 upon enrolment each semester. Both amounts are applied towards each semester’s miscellaneous and other school fees.

Founded in 1983, MCC aims “to provide quality, well-rounded Christian education at the least possible cost to the student in obedience to Christ’s Great Commission” (Matt. 28:19-20).

By God’s grace and for His glory, it has produced graduates who have excelled in academics. Over the past ten years alone, at least 33 MCC high school alumni (one summa cum laude, seven magna cum laude, and 25 cum laude) have graduated from their respective college courses with Latin honors.
